This client reached out after working with two previous designers who couldn’t quite capture her vision for a bold, modern home that still felt comfortable for family life. She described feeling overwhelmed by choices, worried about making the wrong decisions, and unsure how to communicate her love of color and layered style. The goal of this interior design project was to create a confident, contemporary, color-drenched home that balanced personality, function, and everyday practicality for her busy household.

From the beginning, this collaboration focused on listening and translating her mixed inspirations into a clear design direction that actually felt achievable for her day-to-day life. She was drawn to saturated jewel tones, eclectic patterns, and a blend of modern and traditional details—but struggled to make them work together without feeling chaotic. Together, we walked through her home, talked through what she loved (and what she regretted purchasing), and identified the rooms that needed to work hardest for her busy family. By reviewing her existing pieces, color preferences, and inspiration images, a design story began to emerge: sophisticated yet playful, rich in color, and grounded in thoughtful space planning and storage. Layer by layer, we edited and refined her ideas, showing her how bold paint, contemporary furniture, and classic architectural elements could live harmoniously in one space. What once felt like “too many ideas” slowly transformed into a confident, cohesive vision for a contemporary, color-drenched interior that felt unmistakably hers.

To solve the storage and functionality challenges, custom built-ins and integrated cabinetry were designed to keep daily clutter out of sight while adding architectural presence to the entry and living areas. In the living room, deep teal walls, a saturated fireplace surround, and a vibrant magenta rug created a dramatic, color-drenched backdrop, balanced by tailored upholstery and modern silhouettes. Jewel-toned seating, sculptural lighting, and patterned textiles were layered intentionally so bold blues, greens, and plums felt curated rather than chaotic. Throughout the home, hypoallergenic, performance-grade fabrics were specified to accommodate her sensitivities while still delivering the luxe look and durability needed for family living. Every major choice—from paint colors and rugs to storage solutions and window treatments—was presented with clear rationale and visuals, helping to ease decision fatigue and build her confidence in the process.
